Ladies Golf-Why So Many Ladies Are Joining In The Fun by Waker Glass

Are you a lady who is planning to get into golf, but aren't sure if you should do so? Do you think that golf is still a sport for men? Well, you are wrong there. Nowadays, more women than ever before are playing golf. In fact, there are golf tournaments being held specifically for professional women golfers from around the world.

There are golf clubs that are designed and created just for women. And the same goes for golfing apparel such as golf bags, golf clothes, golf balls, and the list goes on. Golf is no longer a sport only for men. And now is a better time than ever to get into the sport. If you are worried that you may not be as strong as the men that problem has already been solved.

Based on your golf skills and the strength of your swing, you can opt to have a lower handicap than the men. This means that you will be hitting your first shot nearer to the green. Don't worry because this is not considered cheating. Numerous studies have gone into how much nearer women should be allowed to start hitting the ball from.

And this has become accepted as the norm worldwide. However, if you think that you are just as strong as the other men. You can opt to shoot using the same handicap they do. Getting good in women's golf is just the same as in men's. You need to buy the right golf clubs that suit you and practice a lot in the driving range.

Then you need to practice playing real golf games as well. Practice with men and other women, so you can experience how it is to play on the fairways. Experiment with different golf balls, so you can find out which one is right for you. Who knows? One day you may even turn out to be one of the best lady golfers in the world.

So if you are interested, there's no need to wait. Start playing golf at once!

Tips On Choosing The Right Golf Balls by Waker Glass

Have you ever experienced playing the worst game of your life because you used a bunch of poor quality golf balls? Golf clubs aren't the only tools you need to play a good golf game. Choosing the right golf balls are just as important. This was something a friend of mine learned during his last golf game.

He bought himself a new set of golf balls that promised to give him an extra couple of yards in shooting distance. But what happened was the ball flew higher a couple of yards, but ended up landing nearer than before. Interestingly, his friend tried the same ball and his shot landed further than ever before.

Nowadays, it has become so difficult to choose the right golf ball. Modern technology has allowed the creation of so many kinds of balls. You have multi-layered balls, super soft balls, two-piece balls (it's still just one ball) and low-compression balls among so many others. Even if you read information about these balls, it's no guarantee that it will perform as advertised.

The best way to choose the right golf ball would be to try out one or two of each according to your needs. If you need more distance in your shot, then you should buy a bunch of balls are supposedly going to allow you this. Trying them out one at a time will allow you to find which among them works best for you.

Don't just test them in the driving range. You need to try them in a real game. Never mind if you end up scoring unbelievably low this one time. If you end up finding a golf ball that you can hit well from the tee up to the whole, then the sacrifice would have been well worth it.

Is your golf game suffering because you don't have the right set of balls? Then you better start looking for the right golf balls now!

Golf Swing Drills - 3 Golf Swing Tips to Break 80 and Crush Your Buddies Next Time on the Course by William Keller

Golf swing drills and training is never going to be fun, but practicing is an important aspect of golf that must be done to consistently hit the golf ball straight and accurately. The question is what type of training should you implement into your golf routine? The following three golf swing tips will help you to hit the ball at a whole new level.

1. The first thing to work on is a proper stance. Keep your feet as wide as your shoulder with the ball between your feet. Your back should be straight, not hunched over. Angle your left foot slightly to the left with your right foot straight ahead. Keep your head down with your eyes focused on the golf ball until after you hit the ball, there is no need to immediately turn to look at the flight path of your shot.

2 Next work on your grip. This will take fine-tuning until you comfortable during the golf swing. You do not want your grip to be weak, but at the same time not overly firm A week grip will often cause the golf ball to slice. A strong grip will not allow the golf club face to rotate into the correct position at the time you are striking the ball. Practice swinging the club until it feels comfortable with the golf clubs that you are using as every set is slightly different.

3. A great way to improve your swing is to video yourself so you can analyze what your swing looks like. This was a great benefit to me and I realized how awkward I really looked when I was teeing off. Plus if you do this with your buddies, you can scrutinize each other's swings and see what you are doing wrong.

How to Drive a Golf Ball Straight is Easy - 3 Tips by Todd Dosenberry

Learning how to drive a golf ball straight is often difficult for an amateur golfer. But, if you focus on the following tips then you will be surprised how easy it is to drive your golf ball down the middle of the fairway. I have put together 3 simple tips that if put to use will help you improve your accuracy off the tee box. Be sure to implement these into your game as soon as possible.

Tip #1 - VisualizeMastering how to drive a golf ball straight can be as simple as visualization. When you are at the tee box imagine yourself striking the ball with perfection, hitting it directly on the sweet spot. Hear the beautiful sound of a perfect tee shot and see the ball fly through the air and finally land on the middle of the fairway with a solid roll. Also, see yourself making the perfect swing, taking the club back on the perfect path and accelerating through the ball with great precision. See yourself hitting a perfect shot and actually performing the perfect shot becomes that much easier!

Tip #2 - Clear Your MindA lot of golfers will have lots and lots of swing thoughts rolling around in their mind. You may have a slice and you read something on the internet that will help you clear your slice. It is best to practice on the driving range. When you are out on the golf course be sure to clear your mind of any swing thoughts when you step up to the ball and are ready to swing. After you strike the ball then try to figure out what you did wrong. But after you visualize and are aimed correctly and have the proper stance, clear your mind and swing at the ball.

Tip #3 - Take the Club Back SlowlyIn order to hit the golf ball far you need to accelerate through the ball on your downswing. Many amateurs know this but will take the club back too fast causing them to loose club head speed on the downswing. If you want to know how to drive a golf ball straight and far then you must take the club back slowly. By doing this you will allow yourself to gain enough club head speed on the downswing. However, it is important to have a steady swing. Do not accelerate too much through the ball as this may cause you to be off plane and either slice or hook the ball with side spin.

What is on a Typical Golf Course? by Conrad Black

There are many reasons to take up golf. It is a hugely user-friendly sport which can be played by everybody. It is no longer the game of the elite, with only the gentry turning up ahead of breakfast to take part in a quick 18. Today there are courses provided by regional governments that do not require you to shell out ridiculous fees, just a small fee each time you play a round.

An additional reason is that the equipment required to play golf has become much more inexpensive. Sure, there are still professional quality clubs, balls and shoes which sell for professional money, but there is now a vast selection of products aimed at the golfer who wants to try out the game, and discover without being financially crippled in the mean time.

If you need more evidence then you only have to look at the exercise you will get. Not only does the physical striking of the ball take effort, so does the walking from shot to shot. There are many, many yards to walk on a golf course, and this provides superb cardio vascular exercise, while the physical act of striking the ball can provide you with a useful muscular workout, especially around your back and arm areas.

Golf is also a very social game, one which can be played among friends, and certainly one where you can make contacts. It is competitive, but you will continually be able to learn from your golfing partners, and in selected forms of the game you have to work as a team, so it promotes a sense of teamwork too.
Lastly, golf is addictive! Once you start golfing, you might find it becomes a bit of a passion. With so many aspects, both physical and mental being part of the game, it is often hard to remember how your time was filled before you started playing! Because of the nature of the game, it encompasses age groups from kids to grandparents, and everyone in between.

If you are considering taking up a additional sport, give golf a try. Everyone seems to know someone who plays, so just try it out - or visit your local driving range and hit a few balls and see how it feels. Be cautious though, those greens will keep calling you back!
